A certificate is an independent lab's opinion of exactly what your stone is — its size, grade and identity, verified by someone who isn't selling it to you. Here's how to read one.
Why it matters
Two diamonds can look identical and be worth very different amounts. A report from a respected lab means the grades you're paying for were checked by an independent expert — not just described by the seller. For anything meaningful, we'd never buy without one.
The labs worth trusting
GIA (Gemological Institute of America) is the global gold standard — strict and consistent. IGI is widely used for lab-grown diamonds. Locally, natural coloured stones often come with an MRI report. The lab matters: the same stone can grade a touch differently between them.
What to check on the report
Our promise
Every diamond we set comes with its certificate, and every loose gemstone with its report. You get the paperwork with the piece, and it stays with you — for insurance, for resale, and for peace of mind.
